Rehearsals recommenced on Sunday 4 January 2026 when we will started to rehearse for our exciting collaboration with Wirral Symphony Orchestra and the Ensemble Vocal Renaissance choir from Le Havre for a performance of Verdi’s Requiem which will be performed at at Liverpool Philharmonic Hall on Sunday 3rd May 2026. If you would like to join the choir, please just come along to any of our rehearsals for a taster.

Rehearsals are held on Sundays (from the beginning of September until Easter) at the St Peter’s Centre, Lower Heswall from 7:45pm until 9:00pm. Please arrive at 7:30pm.

We are keen to encourage new members. All enthusiastic singers who wish to develop their abilities and present high quality concerts are welcome and we have vacancies in all voice parts.

We would be delighted to welcome you to one of our rehearsals while you explore membership of the choir. This would be on a trial basis for two rehearsals, allowing both you and the choir to decide whether membership is the right fit.

Although there is no formal audition, you should be able to sing in tune, hold a harmony line and have the ability to read music. Don’t be discouraged if you’re new to choral singing – you’ll be surprised how quickly your confidence and skills can grow. 

Rehearsals are intense but last for only one and a quarter hours so many of us find that we need to do some homework with our CD’s to achieve the standards to which we aspire!
